A good pair of Arts and Crafts oak bookcases with adjustable shelves, leaded glazed doors with circular details to the tops, the lower cupboards with stylised floral inlays using a combination of Pewter, Ebony and stained Sycamore, the whole standing on a double sweeping arch shaped base.

Howard and Sons. An exquisite and fine quality (1/4 sawn) oak breakfront bookcase. The half moon cornice with dentil moulding with four upper glazed doors, each glazing bar with fine moulded details, with adjustable shelves to the centre section. Four cupboards below, each door with fielded panels with pigeon holes to the upper parts.

A good Arts and Crafts oak bookcase with display area to the very top with extended upper sides with two shelves for display. To the front inset with a pair of original cream, turquoise and green coloured Tulip tiles with stylised floral cut-outs below and also to the top left hand side and to the open display area at each side of the base. Adjustable book/display shelves to the left and a stain glass door with decorative hinges and handle with further adjustable shelves behind to the right.

Wylie and Lochhead, attributed. An Arts & Crafts oak and glazed two door bookcase in the style of C F A Voysey with circular caps for candles to the front uprights which are set slightly forward of the doors. An open top shelf with a full width plate stay for displaying plates etc. It has five pewter and ebonised stylised floral inlay details, one to the very top and two to the upper doors and two more to the fielded panels to the bottom of the doors, with stylised cut-outs to the top at each shaped side and to the base. Retaining its four original adjustable shelves. It was an overcast day so some of the images look a little dark but the main image and close ups show its true oak color.

A rare Glasgow School cabinet designed by George Logan and made by Wylie and Lochhead. With pierced and carved stylised butterfly to the centre back and to the display area below, flanked by stylised floral carved details to the upper front ends. The lead glass panels in the sliding doors depict three pure white plump doves in flight and Harebells growing from the lower panels.
A bedroom suite designed by George Logan for the Wylie and Lochhead Pavillion Exhibition in 1901 also has Harebells and tiny little carved butterflys.

Attributed to Arthur Simpson of Kendal. Stamped with 6933 to the upper back in the same way as The Simpson's of Kendal.

A monumental Gothic Revival Oak breakfront bookcase attributed to E.W. Pugin, possibly from Scarisbrick Hall in Lancashire. The cornice with castellated mouldings and three glazed upper sections each with twin doors with stylised iron strap hinges and castellated iron handles and drop down ring pulls.
Height 8' 8", Length 12' 6", the top depth in the centre section is 14 1/2" and 11" deep to each side section. The base depth is 18 1/2" to the centre section and 15" deep to each side section. Circa early 1870's.

A near pair of oak Arts and Crafts bookcases by Liberty and Co with two leaded glazed doors with adjustable shelves behind, with a single heart cut-out just above the lower open shelf. Extended shelves to each side with elongated supports uniting the cornice and shaped supports below. Both have identical copper handles, one has hinges and one doesn't and never did. One has a moulded detail to the cornice and the other is plain. I will sell singularly or as a pair.
